Knowing that our Lord Jesus told us that, in the last days, there would be perilous times, we should not be surprised by the things we see happening around us. Jesus was quite specific about many of the events that would take place during the End Times.

In Matthew 24, He spoke of wars and rumors of wars, famines, pestilences, earthquakes, deception, persecution, and a world growing increasingly troubled. These things were foretold thousands of years ago and serve as reminders that God’s Word is true.

Today, we can see many of these things unfolding before our eyes.

I know that I have written about Matthew 24 before on this rambling blog, but it bears repeating. It is important to keep these Scriptures fresh in our minds and hidden in our hearts.

So, in addition to TRUSTING GOD (as I wrote about yesterday), we should also be watching for the signs that Jesus told us would come.

I encourage you to go to the Scriptures for yourself. Read Matthew 24, Luke 21, and other prophetic passages. Let God’s Word be your guide and your source of peace during uncertain times.

Most importantly, let us keep our eyes fixed on Jesus Christ, the Author and Finisher of our faith. He is our hope, our refuge, and our salvation, no matter what lies ahead.
