I am so THANKFUL for James 1:5. I have stood upon this powerful verse many times throughout my life.

Here it is:

“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” (James 1:5)

Even now, I am calling upon our Lord Jesus to guide my footsteps into the way that I should go. I am thankful that our Lord not only promises wisdom, but that He gives it generously and abundantly. That is exactly what I want and need today.

I find myself returning again and again to the Lord’s Prayer. When our Lord Jesus taught us to pray, He included these powerful words:

“Thy will be done…”

That is exactly what I desire today.

As we seek God’s wisdom, we must also be willing to follow His direction. Sometimes His guidance leads us down unexpected paths, but His way is always best. When we surrender our plans and seek His will above our own, we can walk forward with confidence, knowing that He is directing our steps.

James 1:5 simply tells us to ASK GOD. Ask Him for wisdom. Ask Him for direction. Ask Him for understanding. Then listen for His voice and trust His leading.

Even as I am writing this blog, I sense God’s peace and wisdom filling my heart. What a blessing it is to know that we never have to face life’s decisions alone. Our Heavenly Father stands ready to guide those who seek Him.
