WRONG AIRPORT….WE FIGURED IT OUT

9-20-25 Saturday 6:35 AM (Florence, Italy Time) -Air Mobile on the Move – to Florence, Italy- Report submitted by Air Mobile Joe

After our long, over the ocean flight from Knoxville to London, we discovered that our next leg was from a different airport all together.  Fortunately, we had a 5 hour lay over.

So, we found a way to go by 2 trains that were going from Heathrow Airport to London City Airport.  There was no warning in our itinerary of this significant change.

With a bit of prayer, and His help, we figured it out and caught the flight from London to Florence, Italy in a British Airways (BA) Embraer 190.  Nice aircraft.

Upon landing in Florence, we soon discovered that catching an Uber or a Taxi was not so easy.  There were long lines long & wait times to take the 10 minute ride to our Air BnB.

So…we found another tram that would take us to downtown Florence, which is BTW, a lovely city, and then walked the rest of the way to our awaiting AirBnB.

We checked our walking steps and discovered that we walked nearly 7 miles to end our first day of this glorious trek.  My knees held up remarkably well. THANK YOU JESUS!

We were exhausted by the time we got to our room and for dinner had a cup of Gelato in bed and went right to sleep.

Today, we’ll be working our way to Montefiascone, where we will join the actual “Via Francigena” for final 100km (62 miles) to Rome.  So far, so good!

We’re up early, had our coffee and will be working our way to Montefiascone.  Cindy and I are both ready to take on this days adventure, enjoying the beauty of the Italian countryside.   PRAISE GOD!!

THANK YOU for meandering down this road of life with us on this amazing journey.

As always, THANK YOU for your faithful prayer, love and support!!
