KONA…BEAUTY, BLESSINGS & A CALLING

Yesterday, WE MADE IT! After flying thousands of miles, Cindy and I finally arrived at YWAM Kona—and what a joy it was to see Sam!
Sam has just completed an EPIC three-month mission and his DTS (Discipleship Training School). Seeing him again and hearing about what God has been doing in his life was truly special. We are so proud of him!
Then, yesterday evening, we had the privilege of attending a genuine Hawaiian Luau. As the evening unfolded, Cindy captured this breathtaking sunset.
WOW!
It is difficult to put into words the incredible beauty of these islands. Today, we will be on a glass-bottom boat, experiencing the wonders of Hawaii from above the water to below it. We intend to soak it all in!
But there is something else happening in our hearts.
While we are surrounded by such extraordinary beauty, we cannot forget the suffering taking place in other parts of the world.
We continue to follow the terrible news coming out of Nepal. Thousands of lives have been impacted, and the need is enormous. We are already looking at ways to get Air Mobile Rescuers—our water purification systems—into Nepal to help provide desperately needed clean drinking water.
It is a strange and beautiful thing to be standing in paradise while knowing that people on the other side of the world are crying out for help.
And perhaps that is exactly where God wants us.
BEAUTY IN ONE PLACE…NEED IN ANOTHER…AND A CALLING THAT REACHES ACROSS THE OCEAN.
Our schedule is to attend the YWAM graduation on Friday morning and then… BOARD A FLIGHT FOR HOME.
We pray that everything goes according to plan.
But we have learned something over the years:
OUR PLANS ARE NOT ALWAYS HIS PLANS.
So, as we travel, we want to remain sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit. If He opens a door, we want to walk through it. If He says “GO,” we want to go. And if He says “WAIT,” we want to wait.
WE JUST WANT TO DO HIS WILL.
For today, we will enjoy the incredible beauty of Kona, celebrate what God is doing in Sam’s life, and marvel at His creation.
And tomorrow?
Well…WE’LL SEE WHAT GOD HAS IN MIND!
Please continue to pray for us, for Sam, for YWAM, and especially for the people of Nepal who are facing such unimaginable hardship.
PRAY THAT WE WILL HEAR HIS VOICE CLEARLY…AND HAVE THE COURAGE TO FOLLOW.
