Early this morning, Cindy and I received a message from Sam, who is in India. He had recently learned of a heartbreaking situation in a small village in Cambodia.

Precious children are drinking severely contaminated water. They are becoming sick, and some are even dying.

We cannot simply sit by and do nothing.

Here’s what we’re planning to do.

We are preparing a mission to this small Cambodian village. Our goal is to get two Air Mobile Rescuer water purifiers to these families, providing them with access to safe, clean drinking water.

But we want to do something more!

We also want to bring a little joy to approximately 300 precious children by giving them small gifts as an early Christmas blessing.

Here’s the plan: We’ll put together as many quart-sized zip-lock bags of gifts as we can. Each bag will contain a few simple treasures:

• Small dolls and colorful ribbons for the girls.
• Little cars and other toys for the boys.
• Bars of soap and some hard candy.

Nothing extravagant. Just simple gifts to let these children know that someone, somewhere, cares about them.

Sam and his sister, Hena, are helping coordinate this effort and will be involved in delivering these much-needed water purifiers and gifts to the village.
