8-2-26 Sunday 7:15 AM (Eastern U.S. Time) To our “Retreat Cabin” in the Mountains of East TN – Report submitted by Air Mobile Joe
Last night was a difficult one. I struggled to find a comfortable position and finally drifted off to sleep around sunrise. I had been warned that there would be nights like this because of the treatment and its side effects.
I resisted taking anything to help me sleep because I don’t want to become dependent on sleep medications. One thing that does help during nights like this is listening to Scripture. There is great peace and comfort in God’s Word.
The good news is that my schedule is open, giving me plenty of time to rest, pray, and allow my body to heal. Meanwhile, I’m on a mission to kill cancer cells by starving them through this treatment. May those cancer cells die freely!
Of course, the most powerful tool we have is PRAYER! There are so many wonderful healing Scriptures on which to stand. I am also deeply thankful for my gifted Cancer Team, who are helping guide me through this journey.
Thank you for your continued prayers, encouragement, and love. Cindy and I appreciate each one of you more than words can express.
