The adventures of Air Mobile Joe

“I HAVE THE KEY…..” — Jesus

7:18-26 Saturday – 6:58 AM (US Eastern Time) To our Retreat Cabin – In the Mountains of East TN – Report submitted by Air Mobile Joe

“I HAVE THE KEY…..” — Jesus

While in Florida, awaiting that elusive Venezuela visa, I had a “close encounter” with Jesus.

I had just hung up the phone with Joe Polozola, the man who introduced me to Jesus all those many years ago and still my best friend on this earth.

Joe had encouraged me to reach out to Jesus in a certain way and then simply wait on the Lord for His answer.

I remember walking toward a dock on the Banana River. I stopped… and then I heard these words:

“I HAVE THE KEY.”

That was it.

I wanted that key—to open the door into Venezuela—so badly!

Deep down in my spirit, I knew the Lord had spoken those words to me. It was so real, and His presence was so close, that I even joked a little.

I said, “Lord, if You have the key, perhaps You could loan it to me for just a moment. I’ll quickly unlock the door to Venezuela and hand the key right back to You.”

Somehow, I already knew He wasn’t going to do that, but I thought I’d ask anyway.

Then He spoke again.

“I HAVE THE KEY.”

This time there was even greater emphasis on HAVE and KEY.

That settled it.

Our Lord was holding the key, and He was not handing it—or loaning it—to me until He was ready.

Then, at 1:25 Saturday morning, I woke up with what felt like a racehorse pounding through my chest.

I quickly grabbed my blood pressure cuff and checked my pulse. It was over 140 beats per minute and climbing erratically.

I checked it again.

Same reading.

Then I grabbed my Kardia EKG.

Again… the same thing. My heart rate was over 140.

I woke Ariana (Cindy was still in Tennessee) and told her, “We need to go to the ER right now.”

I offered to drive.

Ari looked at me, smiled, and said, “I’ll drive.”

In less than ten minutes we arrived at Cape Canaveral Hospital, where I was quickly diagnosed with A-Fib (Atrial Fibrillation).

The emergency-room team immediately went to work trying to bring my heart rate down. It took more than ten hours before it finally returned to normal.

As soon as Cindy heard what had happened, she immediately hit the road and drove the twelve hours from Tennessee to Florida to be with me. Now think about this. What might have happened if I had pushed, manipulated, or forced that door open?

I can easily imagine myself sitting in seat 22A aboard an American Airlines 737 MAX climbing out over the Caribbean on the three-hour flight to Caracas… when suddenly…

“Medical emergency! Passenger in 22A is in A-Fib!”

But that never happened.

Why?

Because…

JESUS HOLDS THE KEY.

Our Lord knew exactly what was about to happen.

He knew what I did not know.

Yes…

HE HOLDS THE KEY.

Now, a week later, I’m back home at our sweet Retreat Cabin.

Cindy and I are working in our garden. I’m scheduling appointments with my cardiologist and my oncologist.

Above all, we are praying for healing, wisdom, and direction from our Lord Jesus Christ.

So that’s what happened last week.

We’re still waiting for the door into Venezuela to open.

At this moment, we have 18 Air Mobile Rescuers ready to go. Five have already been funded, and we are believing God for the remaining thirteen to be fully funded as well.  Each unit costs $2500.00.

God knows the timing.

After all…

“JESUS HAS THE KEY.”

Again, I can’t begin to tell you how much I appreciate your precious prayers, your love, and your faithful support. May God richly bless  you.
