Here’s a brief history of THANKSGIVING DAY IN AMERICA..

Thanksgiving’s history began with the 1621 harvest feast between the Plymouth colonists and the Wampanoag people, which is now remembered as the “First Thanksgiving”. Over time, the holiday evolved from regional celebrations and presidential proclamations, with George Washington issuing the first in 1789. It became a national holiday when President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed it would be held annually on the fourth Thursday of November in 1863. …

It is good having a day to recognize THANKSGIVING.  Remember, when we give THANKS, a powerful force is released in our hearts, dispelling sadness and depression and negativity.

Our Lord tells us to give THANKS in EVERYTHING!

So, on this THANKSGIVING DAY, open your heart wide and let THANKSGIVING flow!

May we ever be THANKFUL for our MANY BLESSINGS!!
