Even here in the Mountains of East TN, FLOOD WATCHES are popping up throughout our region.

Even though our “Retreat Cabin” is well above sea level, the roads leading in and out are full of low-lying areas.  Those are the areas to avoid, or at least be cautious of.

The horrible flooding in Kerr County TX is certainly a wake-up call for us all.  PLEASE continue to PRAY for those who have lost loved ones.

Last night, we had several strong thunderstorms pass through, dropping a lot of rain.  Local rivers and streams are now absorbing them and river levels are rising.  

BE ON THE LOOK-OUT & heed evacuation orders.  As I often say…”If you err on any side, err on the EVACUATE side”.  

In other words, be READY to evacuate.  Often, it just means seeking HIGHER GROUND.  

Be AWARE of your setting and have an EVACUATION PLAN  READY!
