A DEAR FRIEND ALONG THE WAY

Yesterday, Cindy and I set out on a “Road Trip” to Massachusetts to visit her family. About seven hours into our journey, we arrived in Carlisle, Pennsylvania — approximately halfway to our destination — where we stopped to visit her dear friend, Susan.

These two have been dear friends for many years, and yesterday was especially meaningful because it was Susan’s birthday!

Often, when Cindy travels to Massachusetts, she makes a point of stopping at Susan’s home along the way. What a blessing to break up a long journey with a visit to a dear friend!

It was a joy to listen to these two wonderful friends laugh, and reminisce as they spent the evening together. There is something truly special about friendships that stand the test of time. What a gift from the Lord!

Well, this morning, it’s time to say goodbye to Susan and continue our journey to Massachusetts.

We are grateful for safe travels, precious friendships, and the unexpected blessings God places along the way.
